university festival
daigakusai... me and choo, the other malaysian guy in campus... were in charged of the malaysian booth... brought all the material i have with me, postcards and pamphlets, maps and baju kurung, and the malaysian recipe books... wow, they liked that very much eh!
spent like hours sharing and introducing malaysia to those who came... almost 130 people came to our exhibition leh! so proud to be able to represent malaysia, a mini ambassador to nagoya... spoke in japanese, never ever spoken so much of them in one day!! met another malaysian, a rotary club exchange student, from Taman Melawati eh! was so so glad to have another Melawatian... her nama is aina... from SM taman melawati... has a brother in form 3, so, do you know him ah, alvin? okay okay! i think most of them are really interested in visiting malaysia in the near future, after browsing through the pictures of the east coast... and mulu cave in sarawak... the datai and andaman resorts in langkawi... well, plus things are really cheap for them... and oh, malaysian food... explained to them how we use our right hand while eating... and the reason behind that... choo made me tell the japanese that... hazukashii.... eeeee.... all these made me miss malaysia even more so! beef rendang with nasi briyanni, ayam masak merah... acar...
raya is coming up, but i wonder if the malaysian embassy will be holding any kind of celebration, to have all the malaysian gather for a time of `muhibbah` kenduri styled makan event! i heard that they actually invite the malays ONLY... sad huh? i mean, i am a malaysian passport holder, representing my country in nanzan, doing malaysia proud by promoting malaysia whenever i have the opportunity and i`m still considered a chinese! bukan malaysian!!!! felt like crying when choo told me bout this kinda things happening outside of malaysia! why only malays... why not all malaysian... this is so not fair huh? i can proudly say that i`m a malaysian when asked by any curious japanese who thought that i`m a chinese from china... why malaysian citizens arent being fairly treated... i`m talking bout those who left their home country, being in a far away foreign land... who crave for anything `malaysian`.... arghh... sad...
okay, back to the university festival, made a bunch, a lot to be exact, of new friends! exchanged contacts... to keep in touch lah... who knows they might drop by and visit me in malaysia one day! hahaha! will post the picture later lah when i have my laptop with me! too lazy to bring it with me... after 3 days of walking with my backpack... i just wanna `travel light`! hahahah!
